History of Ecstasy

History of Ecstasy was performed on 6th June 2009 as part of the CORPUS programme at the Museo d'Arte Contemporanea Donna Regina (MADRE) Naples. The event was a co-commission with Napoli Teatro Festival Italia

History of Ecstasy is a site-specific performance, a kind of metaphorical way of the cross laid out in a number of acts, somewhere between the sacred and the profane, between dreaming and reality, tenderness and violence. The performance is based on the dichotomy that is made up of fulcrum and power, between the pure and the sordid, between damnation and redemption
